Making Midwest is a community project created by Made By Things to have a positive impact on creative artists and to attract top creative talent to the Midwest with high-quality content.

We’re on a mission to create 20 videos called, ‘The Maker Series’ to highlight local artists in The Midwest. The purpose of these videos is to share our community with others and let them see some of the amazing people in it as well as the work they do. This is not only highlighting a local artist but also the content creator who will create the film.

In 2017, we created a Maker Series that highlighted the artist Dylan Menges who spoke about how he would gain inspiration from life experiences, outside of work, by running or riding his bicycle. Leaving us with a high level of inspiration, he really pushes our audience to take a walk or step away from the daily norm. Now, to make this happen, we need the support of our community. We are looking to raise $60,000 for the production of the 20 videos. So, what’s in it for you?
